At the Canadian Gynecology Institute of Chinese Medicine, we are committed to balancing and improving women’s health through Traditional Chinese Medicine. A wide variety of diseases can be treated using acupuncture, herbs, moxibustion and Tui Na massage. Here at CGICM we pride ourselves on our friendly, welcoming environment and dedicated, knowledgeable practitioners.  Please visit our blog on how to find a good Acupuncturist or Chinese Medicine Practitioner.

Alternately, we have an Advanced Learning Clinic that gives students an intensive learning experience in TCM gynecology.  The students who have enrolled in the course are already Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners (R.TCMP) that are looking to increase their knowledge in TCM gynecology.  Booking with one of these practitioners has many benefits: a R.TCMP, supervisor input into your case, and reduced treatment prices (not including herbs).  How can it get better?

Clinic Visit

To prepare for a visit, please wear comfortable, loose clothing. On your first visit there will be forms to complete, though we can email them and you can fill them out before coming. The initial intake is comprised of thorough questioning, pulse diagnosis and tongue diagnosis, all of which are imperative for a proper diagnosis. Your initial visit generally lasts about an hour and a half, with subsequent visits usually lasting approximately an hour.

Traditional Chinese Medicine is an individualized approach to health and well being. As such, the course of treatment also varies from person to person, though you should be able to feel some healthy changes within one to six weeks. Depending on the nature of your complaint, it may be more beneficial to visit the clinic multiple times a week at first and then start to spread out your appointments as your symptoms ease.

If you are planning to come to the clinic, please download and fill out the following forms:
