Herb Fragrance Clinic
At The Canadian Gynecology Institute of Chinese Medicine (CGICM) we are dedicated to providing continuing education in women’s health. Our goal is to make a contribution to women’s health by providing focused courses in the study of TCM gynecology to alternative healthcare professionals. Our courses provide practitioners with the advanced clinical training and professional skill levels required to graduate with a Certificate in TCM Gynecology.
CGICM offers workshops and courses towards certification. We currently are focusing our courses for professionals in the field of Chinese Medicine that have solid training and are interested in gaining more skills in TCM Gynecology.
Practitioners are looking to improve their clinical success. Many find that textbook learning is not enough. At CGICM, learning is based on practical skills that work. Through sharing case studies and real life experience, Yuxiang Wang, R.TCMP, supports practitioners in finding specific approaches that work. Students gain knowledge and experience to help the women that they treat.
As Yuxiang says, “Without proper diagnosis there can not be proper treatment”. Courses cover etiology, differential diagnosis, treatment, and self help with a focus on Integrative Medicine.
Why Study at CGICM?
CGICM offers supplementary programs for presently practicing Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners (R.TCMP in Canada or any internationally recognized designation). CGICM also offers workshops for Acupuncturists, Doctors, and Alternative Medicine Practitioners.
CGICM maintains a vision to broaden the knowledge base in TCM gynecological disorders and improve clinical results. Our specialized classes enhance effectiveness in clinical practice when treating women with reproductive system disorders.
Our training is Integrative. The Western and Chinese Medicine approaches are discussed and include definitions, etiology, pathology, diagnosis, and treatment. Together these two approaches provide for a complementary and comprehensive program that covers all of the most commonly seen disorders today, ranging from menstrual disorders, to infertility, pregnancy disorders, menopause and beyond.
CGICM teaches courses based on the most up to date information available with complete and comprehensive course notes. Classes are taught through lecture, power point presentation, demonstration and an optional 10 hours of clinical observation.
At CGICM you’ll find a welcoming environment, complete with a library with gynecology and TCM reference books. We are also developing online courses and a Facebook members-only discussion page for our graduates. Moderated by Yuxiang Wang, R.TCMP, this forum offers ongoing discussion and information sharing regarding TCM Gynecology and will be a place where Practitioners can post real case questions for support and discussion.
At CGICM – we are passionate about learning and success – YOURS!
Those graduating with a TCM gynecology certificate will also be added to our practitioner locator page with links to their business websites etc.
All our workshops and courses are eligible for PDC’s with the CTCMPAO and we are applying for accreditation with the NCCAOM.
