While we already have a page that introduces the Acupuncturists and Practitioners working here at CGICM, I’d like to take the opportunity to talk more about what makes these people so great and there is no better person to start with than Yuxiang Wang, Director of CGICM.

I first met Yuxiang Wang while she was teaching at the Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TSTCM), where she taught the TCM Gynecology class and the Integrated Gynecology Treatment class.  With regards to treating women, with gynecological issues and without, it is of the utmost importance to understand the cycles that they have.  Yuxiang not only taught the basics but always had something interesting to add.  She was also always available for questions, to help with difficult cases, or just to explain things one more time.  Now working with her at CGICM, there are many more things that my co-workers and I appreciate.

What we Appreciate Most about Yuxiang Wang

CGICM is Yuxiang’s dream, and her dream is to build an alliance network for women’s health and well-being.  But she does this in a different way; she does this with an amount of integrity that I have not seen in any other clinic.

CGICM is Client Oriented: what is best for the client is best for CGICM, not the other way around.  And while all treatments in Chinese Medicine are individually oriented, the goal is to provide our clients with enough information so that they learn to also be able help themselves.  Treatments become an interactive learning process of empowering our clients to be able to take their health and well-being into their own hands.

CGICM is Practitioner Oriented: not only does Yuxiang give all her best to her clients, she also does everything in her power to help her practitioners be the best that they can be.  This way, not only do they succeed at CGICM, but in their personal lives as well.  She is always full of encouragement, has sound advice, possesses a great wealth of knowledge, and freely gives learning opportunities – giving us the chance to realize our own potentials, which in turn makes CGICM a very dynamic clinic!

The Bottom Line

Yuxiang Wang is extremely hard working, more often than not working 7 days a week.  I could give you many more accolades that she has collected through her years of study and work, but that information is easy enough to find on her Practitioners Page.  The bottom line is that she is a woman that everyone looks up to and respects, and a director whose vision inspires us all.

Thank you for being you, Yuxiang Wang!
